Just a quick senseless post

In our whirlwind week to CA ( my first trip) we made a stop in San Francisco. What a neat city! So much fun. I loved the whole green movement that the news and city expressed, but MW banned me from going back to the city because he thinks I am green enough already....

My biggest pet peeve you ask? When people who have curbside pick up recycling do not do it because they are too lazy to sort their recyclables! What the heck is that all about.
And to answer MW's question: Yes we do have to recycle everything possible! : )

It is just another hot day here in NC. I don't think it has rained since we moved in our new house. That was a month ago. It is a little nuts at this point. Every day is hot and sunny. It was great at first, but now we need the rain so badly it is a little scary.

In other exciting news of the unemployed I found that having this big house is a lot to clean. I got the privilege of cleaning 5 toilets today. But, I did discover the disposable toilet bowl cleaners. That is a great invention. Who really wants to save the toilet brush after each use?

Until next time....

Another day...

I have been unemployed for five weeks and until today I have not minded a bit, but when I woke up this morning I lacked direction. I am sure I will be over it in a minute, but finding a job down here looks like it may be a little bit more difficult than expected. I have a prospect to work as a headhunter, but am not sure I am on board with that. Other than that, I am finding Charlotte to be pretty small. I am sure something is going to come up soon since I really did just start searching, but I have never been known to be patient. I think more than anything I am tired of unpacking! Yesterday I unpacked all day- made great progress- but it was just me. MW was at work and then went to play hockey.

Here is another shot from Sonoma.

Random Photo of the day.

While in Sonoma we found a "special place." A candy shop with an old soda bar. We had root beer floats and MW and EB dressed up after to watch a showing of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
Don't worry- we did see the vineyards. Photos to come.

Update: Bailey is showing signs of improvement. He had a follow up appointment today and we have "options." The number one priority is he heals. He is laying down resting now and looks comfortable. Thank God!

wherever there is a bouncing ball....

There is not a lab far behind.

Last night Bailey was wandering in the yard with his ball in his mouth like he usually does. He must have dropped the ball in the driveway which is on a hill. The ball rolled down the hill and into the street, so Bailey followed it- Right in front of a car! I did not see it happen, and Mark only heard it. The car didn't even stop and Bailey came running home- limping. Today we went to the animal hospital and he had x-rays. He has a chip in his left hip. He may need to have the chip removed since it is completely detached from his hip bone. I will follow up with a vet tomorrow to find out what we need to do. In the mean time he has pain medicine and anti inflammatory medicine and needs to not chase his ball for a while. He can carry his ball around, but needs to rest as much as possible. Pray our baby does not need surgery and he heals back to his happy go running self soon!

Photos of Sonoma will post when I get my home internet. I am back at the in laws for a quick stop and thought I would share Bailey's accident info. If nothing else as therapy for me. The guilty feeling mom.

I know it has been forever- does anyone even read this?

Our Sonoma vacation came and went so fast- I have photos I will post in the next posting. As soon as we got home from Sonoma we sold our house in NJ and flew north to have our things shipped. They are arriving tomorrow. Of course when we got back from NJ I got sick. I am now recovering from a sinus infection.

I would like to continue this blog, but am not sure if I have any readers anymore. If you are taking a look at this write a quick comment so I know if anyone sees what I write.

We don't have internet at home right now, so it is hard to get online. Sometime next week i am expecting to be up and running there and should be able to post more regularly again.

I hope everyone is well.
